Assistant General Manager – Projects (Solar EPC & RESCO)

Location: PAN INDIA (Travelling required as per projects need) About the Role We are looking for an experienced and execution-driven professional for the role of Assistant General Manager – Projects to lead end-to-end delivery of Solar EPC & RESCO projects across multiple locations in India. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in project execution, government/PSU client management, and multi-site team leadership with a hands-on approach to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery Lead complete lifecycle execution of Solar EPC & RESCO projects from mobilization to commissioning and handover. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and as per quality & safety standards. Manage multiple rooftop C&I and ground-mounted solar projects simultaneously across locations.

Monitor project schedules, resource allocation, procurement coordination, and site progress. Ensure strict adherence to approved BOQs, technical specifications, and contractual obligations. Client & Stakeholder Management Act as the primary interface for clients including PSUs, Railways, PGCIL, and other government stakeholders.

Handle client coordination, review meetings, reporting, approvals, and issue resolution. Maintain strong working relationships with government authorities, consultants, and inspection agencies. Team Leadership Build, mentor, and manage site execution teams across projects. Supervise and guide site engineers, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.

Ensure discipline, accountability, and high-performance standards within project teams. Commercial & Cost Control Support billing milestones, documentation, and project commercial closure. Monitor project costs and drive effective cost control measures. Ensure compliance with project budgets and BOQ commitments. Coordinate with internal departments for procurement, finance, and compliance requirements.

Project Profile Project Type: Solar EPC & RESCO Project Segments: Rooftop C&I and Ground-Mounted Solar Projects Project Size: ₹3–8 Crore per project Client Base: PSU / Railways / PGCIL / Government Sector Project Handling: Simultaneous management of 2 or more projects independently Requirements Experience 8–14 years of overall experience with minimum 4–5 years in Solar EPC project execution.

Proven experience independently managing solar projects worth ₹3–8 Crore. Prior experience handling multiple sites simultaneously is mandatory. Must-Have Skills Strong hands-on understanding of project execution and site management. Direct experience in client management and government liaisoning. Experience managing teams of at least 3–5 site engineers.

Strong knowledge of EPC execution processes, project planning, and site coordination. Ability to travel extensively and work across multiple project locations.
