Job description

Cedar Wellness Center is a Tribally owned clinic that treats a diverse population of patients, including Native and Non-Native people. We have the opportunity to provide whole person care, while managing patient substance use disorders, primary care, infectious disease, and mental health needs. We are building a team of dedicated and compassionate individuals.

Cedar Wellness Center brings an innovative model of highly individualized, compassionate care to patients with opioid use disorder. From the moment someone walks through the door of our state-of-the-art outpatient facility, they will encounter our thoughtfulness and intention for a humanizing and respectful experience with us.

The comforting and safe setting of our nature-inspired facility and the friendly, professional attitude of our staff help to define our journey with each patient—and with each other—from day one. Each employee at Cedar Wellness Center creates their own ripple effect in the larger circles of the families and communities that we touch.

Are you ready to make a difference with us? We are currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider: Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to support our clinic in Tacoma, WA. This position, reporting to the Clinic Medical Director, is an excellent opportunity for someone excited to make an immediate and lasting impact in a growing company.

Position Overview

Cedar Wellness Center is looking for a Board-Certified Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to guide patients as they make their way to a better life. This position will require you to utilize a flexible approach to challenges with each patient. Must be willing to cross-train and do what it takes to help the team each day.

Expertise and humility can be a rare combination, but it’s the secret to a successful team. We are looking for this pairing – and for calm leadership, kindness, creativity, and empathy – in our staff members. You will play an active and integral role in optimizing evidence-based care for our patients and in supporting them in reaching their goals.

You will also ensure the provision of patient-centered treatment for substance use disorder. In turn, you will be supported by a compassionate team of employees who get up each day to fight the battle against this health care crisis in our community. If you are ready to bring your passion, energy, and a steady, focused approach to the opioid epidemic, we would like to meet you.
