Job description

An Automotive Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role supports the dealerships service operations by delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems including engines, transmissions, and hybrid systems. Repairs & Maintenance: Perform routine services such as oil changes, brake replacements, tire rotations, and fluid checks. Component Replacement: Repair or replace faulty parts including suspension systems, exhausts, and transmissions.

Documentation: Accurately record work performed, parts used, and labor hours in service reports. Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols. Team Collaboration: Coordinate with service advisors and parts department to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.

Requirements

High school diploma or vocational certificate in Automotive Technology Completion of an automotive training program or apprenticeship preferred Experience 13 years of hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair Experience in dealership or fleet service environments is a plus Driving is a plus Skills Technical Aptitude: Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and repair tools Problem-Solving: Able to troubleshoot issues and recommend effective solutions Communication: Capable of explaining technical issues clearly to non-technical staff Physical Stamina: Able to lift heavy parts and work in physically demanding conditions Attention to Detail: Ensures repairs meet safety and quality standards
