Job description
The Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring sustainability initiatives in line with company goals and ESG principles. The role coordinates with NGOs, community groups, and partners to deliver impactful environmental and social projects, and supports funding and sponsorship efforts, including proposal preparation, marketing materials, and donor engagement.
The Sustainability Coordinator manages and reports on carbon reduction, carbon credits, and offsetting projects, ensuring initiatives align with relevant policies, regulations, and international frameworks such as the UN SDGs. The role also plans and executes conservation activities such as tree planting and mangrove restoration, prepares reports, presentations, and awareness campaigns for internal and external stakeholders, and collaborates across departments to integrate sustainability practices into business operations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage. 1–3 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, community development, or related project coordination roles preferred. Experience working with NGOs, government agencies, or environmental projects is preferred.
Solid understanding of ESG principles, sustainability practices, and circular economy concepts. Experience coordinating NGOs, community projects, and multi-stakeholder initiatives. Strong skills in funding development, marketing, design, and stakeholder engagement (clients, sponsors, and partners). Knowledge of carbon credits, carbon offsetting mechanisms, and hands-on involvement in sustainability activities.
Familiarity or interest in renewable, solar solutions, climate change, green cooling, and green technologies is an added advantage.
