Job description

The Senior Executive – Placements is responsible for supporting students throughout the international university placement process by coordinating university applications, student transfers, and visa documentation. The role involves maintaining effective communication with students, parents, partner universities, educational agents, and relevant authorities to ensure timely and accurate processing while delivering a high standard of student service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Student Placement & University Applications
  • Process international university applications from initial inquiry to final placement.
  • Guide students on admission requirements, application procedures, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with partner universities to ensure timely processing of applications.
  • Monitor application progress and follow up on outstanding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all student applications.
  1. Student Visa Coordination
  • Assist students in preparing visa applications and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all required documents are complete and compliant with immigration requirements.
  • Coordinate visa appointments and application submissions.
  • Follow up with embassies, visa centres, and immigration authorities regarding application status.
  • Keep students informed throughout the visa process.
  1. Student & Parent Support
  • Provide guidance to students and parents regarding university admissions, visa requirements, and study pathways.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and resolve student concerns.
  • Conduct student briefings and pre-departure sessions.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service throughout the placement journey.
  1. Stakeholder Coordination
  • Liaise with international universities, educational partners, and recruitment agents.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with institutional partners.
  • Support recruitment and promotional activities related to international study opportunities.
  1. Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate student records and application files.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and immigration regulations.
  • Prepare reports on application status and placement statistics.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
  1. Marketing & Student Recruitment Support
  • Participate in education fairs, seminars, and promotional events.
  • Promote international study opportunities to prospective students.
  • Assist in achieving student placement targets.
  1. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve placement processes and student experience.
  • Keep up to date with changes in university admission requirements and immigration regulations.
  • Contribute ideas to enhance departmental efficiency and service quality.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Education, International Relations, or a related field. Professional qualifications in student counselling or international education will be an added advantage. Minimum 3–5 years of experience in student placements, admissions, international education, visa processing, or a related field.

Experience in handling Australian and UK student visa applications is essential. Experience with student and tourist visa applications for countries such as the USA, Canada, New Zealand, and Malaysia will be an added advantage. Experience dealing with international universities and managing student placement and visa application processes will be an added advantage.

Demonstrated willingness to learn, openness to new ideas, and a proactive approach to supporting the growth of the International Placements Unit by identifying and developing partnerships with universities across different countries to expand student placement opportunities.
