Reservist Disaster Relief General labor

We are currently building a team of Reservist General Labor / Utility, Maintenance & Cleaning/Kitchen Assist Workers — reliable, skilled professionals ready to help with site setup, cleaning, basic maintenance, and food-service support during emergency response and recovery operations.

Location: Nationwide (assignments may vary) Employment Type: Per-diem / On-call (activated during disasters) Key Responsibilities General Labor & Maintenance

• Set up, operate, and break down temporary facilities, shelters, and work areas.
• Load, unload, and move materials and equipment, including debris removal and site cleanup.
• Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or mechanical) as directed.
• Operate hand tools, small machinery, or utility equipment safely.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; report damages or hazards. Cleaning & Sanitation
• Maintain sanitation standards in shelters, dining areas, and workspaces.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, restrooms, and common areas to meet health and safety guidelines.
• Dispose of waste and handle cleaning supplies properly. Kitchen Assistance
• Help receive, organize, and store food and kitchen supplies.
• Assist with basic food preparation, portioning, and serving meals under supervision.
• Support dishwashing and clean kitchen equipment to food-safety standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in general labor, utilities, maintenance, cleaning, or food service helpful but not required.
• Knowledge of basic tool use, building maintenance, safe food handling, and sanitation practices preferred.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, changing environment. Additional Requirements
• Available for rapid deployment and flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts.
• Valid driver’s license, Real ID or passport
• Must pass federal background check, drug test, and meet physical fitness standards.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand or work on feet for long periods.
• Comfortable working in challenging environments (heat, cold, limited infrastructure).
• Willing to travel to and from disaster areas; travel, lodging, and per diem typically provided.
