Sous Chef | Luxury Private Game Reserve | Hoedspruit ? Salary: R25,000 (Live-in) Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef for a luxury private game reserve based in Hoedspruit. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef with strong 4-star experience who is ready to take the next step into a 5-star luxury hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen. Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with luxury hospitality standards. Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff. Maintain excellent food quality, presentation and consistency. Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are upheld. Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising wastage.
Contribute to menu development and guest dining experiences. Ensure smooth kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie within a 4-star property. Ready to progress into a 5-star luxury lodge environment. Formal culinary qualification. Strong leadership and organisational skills. Passion for fine food and exceptional guest experiences. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work well under pressure in a remote environment.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations. Package Salary of R25,000 per month. Live-in position. Excellent opportunity to transition into the luxury 5-star hospitality sector.
