Role Overview: Orbit International Survey Services LLC is seeking a skilled E&I Technician to support the installation, testing, calibration, maintenance, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems for offshore and petrochemical projects.

The successful candidate will ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment. Perform cable glanding, termination, continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and loop checking. Install and calibrate field instruments, control panels, transmitters, switches, control valves, and analyzers. Perform testing and commissioning of electrical equipment, including switchgears, transformers, motors, and MCCs.

Carry out calibration and functional testing of process instruments and Fire & Gas systems. Read and interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, wiring diagrams, hook-up drawings, and cable schedules. Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation faults and assists in corrective maintenance activities. Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, close out of punch list, and system handover activities.

Maintain inspection records, calibration reports, commissioning documentation and preparation of final doseore. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, company procedures, and HSE requirements. Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, QA/QC personnel, and commissioning teams during project execution.

Requirements

Bachelor or Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or equivalent. Minimum 4 years of experience in Oil & Gas, EPC projects, Petrochemical, or Industrial projects. Experience in installation, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of E&I systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment, PLC/DCS systems, and Fire & Gas systems is an advantage. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
