Ellasot Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a reputable Maritime company seeking a competent, detail-oriented Accountant to join its operations team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for managing the organization's financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and providing financial information that supports business decision-making.
growth. The Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documents. Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and on time. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare payroll and ensure timely salary payments where applicable Assist in preparing budgets and monitor budget performance. Calculate and file taxes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Support internal and external audits by providing required financial documentation. Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation.
Requirements
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Chartered Accountant qualification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ACA, CPA, or an equivalent professional certification) will be an added advantage. Proven experience in accounting or finance. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
