Agency: Omnicom Corporate Job Function: People and Culture Job Subfunction: Total Rewards Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Analyst, Health & Welfare Benefits to join our Health & Welfare Benefits Team, reporting to the Director, Health & Welfare Benefits. In this role, the Sr. Analyst, Health & Welfare Benefits is primarily responsible for Human Resources / Benefits administration and compliance support and will use a wide range of skills and knowledge to support the department’s strategic objectives.
This key team member will operate with the utmost discretion as an analytical thinker who will have access to a considerable amount of confidential and sensitive information in support of plan administration and compliance across the employee benefits landscape. This role will be based in our New York, NY office and requires regular in-office presence five days per week.
In addition, the individual must be available to work from the Stamford, CT office on designated critical business days as required.
Essential Functions
Partner with Health & Welfare Team on leave and disability administration execution, approximately 50% of role Responds to and troubleshoots routine inquiries regarding benefits programs from HR community, mainly utilizing internal case ticketing system Assists Health & Welfare team with health (i.e. medical, dental, prescription, etc.)
insurance administration. Assists with Annual Enrollment activities and the preparation and distribution of benefits communication and other materials (i.e. open enrollment and Plan information) Escalates complex benefits processing issues Maintains vendor contact to investigate discrepancies, claim issues, and provide information Identify needs for modifications or changes in plan administrative procedures Recommend improvements, revisions and amendments to update systems, programs, procedures and internal controls on an on-going basis Identify, research and follow-up on procedural and discrepancy issues (i.
e. employee payroll deduction premium reconciliation, disability offsets), and provide recommendations for resolution Prepare schedules and perform tasks as assigned by Health & Welfare team, assisting with annual plan audits, government agency filings, and other special projects as they may arise, including but not limited to assignments relating to health and wellbeing plans, voluntary benefits, and in conjunction with Risk Management regarding Workers Compensation Support Wellbeing strategy and activities Education, Skills and Experience Requirements: BA/BS or demonstrated experience in one of the following: Human Resources, Benefits or Management Information Systems Minimum 3 years’ experience in benefit space including analytical and practical experience in Benefits/Group Insurance supporting systems and integrations Proficient in detailed project plan development and management preferred Experience with implementation and transition management preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including the ability to develop, analyze, and maintain complex reports; proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other business applications Excellent problem solver and troubleshooting skills Excellent organizational skills; time management, and precise attention to detail Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills required.
Ability to think through interdependencies and long-term implications Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers of all organization levels – ability to work as an individual contributor and collaboratively as a team member Professional, confidential, self-starter who is enthusiastic and comfortable with ambiguity Proficient computer skills (e.
g., Web/internet, Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
US Salary Range $55,000 - $100,000 USD Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
