Maintenance Planner and Scheduler Location, 2701 Refinery Rd, Quincy, IL 62305 Shift: Day Job Type: Full Time Job Summary The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler's role is to improve workforce productivity through the coordination and full utilization of all available maintenance resources. They are responsible for developing a plan that ensures efficient execution of reliability focused maintenance practices to ensure safe and consistent equipment and process operations in manufacturing.
Job Duties Plan and Schedule all work orders and PMs (preventive maintenance activities) Schedule appropriate maintenance work groups by coordinating with production leaders to improve efficiency of labor resources Plan and schedule work order completion to minimize planned downtime and redundant LOTO and prep work Communicate to ensure equipment is available and ready for maintenance work to proceed and planned Schedule appropriate time for preventive maintenance activities per best practices Perform monthly physical inventory Organize and track spare parts inventory Maintain compliance with ADM required CSD (Critical Safety Device) testing Data entry of weekly and monthly maintenance KPIs Utilize CMMS (MP2) to drive accurate tracking of work hours and inventory Review work orders before scheduling to have proper time, materials, crafts, tools, SOP creation, and permits allocated Actively participate in weekly maintenance review and response meetings.
Lead discussion of open work orders with maintenance supervision. Provide a strong positive safety presence and lead by example. Partner with maintenance management and engineering to develop planned outage work lists with detailed planning of jobs and resources Rotating on-call responsibilities with maintenance team Requirements Two (2) or more years experience in Maintenance Technician, Planner or Scheduler role in a continuous manufacturing environment.
Food, Feed or Chemicals manufacturing experience preferred High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Strong Organization and Communication Skills. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Sphera (Incident Tracking Database) a plus) Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting.
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc. with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirator when required Ability to work in elevated areas including, but not limited to platforms, and catwalks Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
