Trainer – IATA Foundation (Travel & Tourism Diploma)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Trainer to deliver the IATA Foundation in Travel & Tourism Diploma course. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in airline ticketing and travel agency operations, along with the ability to effectively train and mentor students preparing for careers in the travel and tourism industry.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver training for the IATA Foundation in Travel & Tourism Diploma program Teach core subjects including: International & domestic ticketing Fare construction and pricing Airline reservation systems Travel documentation and customer service Provide practical training on Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus and Sabre Develop and update training materials in line with IATA curriculum standards Conduct assessments, mock tests, and exam preparation sessions Guide students on industry practices and career opportunities Stay updated with current airline policies, fare rules, and travel regulations Requirements Minimum 5–10 years of experience in ticketing and travel agency operations Mandatory hands-on experience in airline ticketing (international & domestic) IATA Foundation / Consultant Diploma or equivalent certification Strong working knowledge of Amadeus (mandatory) Knowledge of Sabre and other GDS platforms is highly desirable Prior teaching or training experience is an advantage Retired or former travel agency professionals transitioning into training roles Candidates with experience in aviation or tourism training institutes IATA-certified trainers with practical industry exposure Candidates with Sabre certification will have an added advantage Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong practical knowledge of fare rules and ticketing procedures Ability to train students on real-world scenarios and case studies Good mentoring and student engagement skills Proficiency in MS Office and digital training tools
