Job description

A reputable automotive organization is seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Technician to join its workshop team. This position is responsible for performing high-quality vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work in accordance with OEM standards while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently on both routine and complex mechanical and electrical repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Maintenance Perform vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance activities Check lights, tires, tire pressure, brake systems, and fluid levels Carry out servicing activities according to OEM standards and checklists Ensure vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently Repairs & Technical Work Replace belts, bulbs, fuses, and other vehicle components Perform basic electrical and mechanical repairs Prepare vehicles and equipment for operation according to OEM standards Diagnose faults independently using diagnostic and scan tools Perform repair and overhaul work on vehicle systems and components Replace timing belts and carry out complex repairs where required Interpret predictive maintenance results and recommend corrective actions Prepare parts lists required for repairs and maintenance activities Quality Control & Customer Service Conduct final inspections on completed repair and service work Ensure vehicles are delivered clean and in proper working condition Advise customers regarding maintenance and repair recommendations Maintain high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction standards Administration & Coordination Record time spent on repair and maintenance activities Complete work orders accurately and on time Order required parts in a timely manner Keep supervisors informed about work progress and bottlenecks Support coordination of repair, service, and invoicing activities Collaboration & Support Assist and mentor junior or less experienced technicians Recommend critical spare parts for stock management Work collaboratively within the workshop team Housekeeping & Safety Maintain tools and equipment properly Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe Follow all safety regulations and company procedures Requirements Education & Knowledge Technical secondary education (Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience) Strong knowledge of automotive engineering and diagnostics Experience working with OEM maintenance standards Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques Familiarity with automotive diagnostic systems and tools Experience Minimum 5 years of relevant automotive workshop experience Experience with complex repairs and diagnostics is highly preferred Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Good written and verbal communication skills Accuracy and attention to detail Team-oriented and collaborative mindset Customer-focused and service-minded attitude Proactive, flexible, and solution-driven approach Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Proficiency in MS Office and workshop administration systems
