Summary: This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency, accuracy, and integrity of warehouse operations. The individual will be responsible for managing the flow of merchandise, ensuring proper documentation, and upholding strict standards for inventory control and safety. By adhering to established SOPs and FIFO practices, the role supports seamless logistics, reduces losses, and contributes to operational excellence.
Accurate record-keeping, attention to detail, and proactive communication with supervisors are essential to maintaining optimal warehouse performance.
Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain an accurate inventory of merchandise entering and exiting the warehouse. Receive and document all incoming deliveries and returns with precision. Identify and report missing, lost, or damaged materials to the supervisor promptly. Ensure all items are securely packed, properly labeled, and handled with care during shipping.
Support the organization and layout of the warehouse in compliance with standard operating procedures. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional warehouse environment at all times. Store received stock in accordance with FIFO (First In, First Out) principles. Assist in the preparation of management reports on a regular basis.
Participate in periodic spot checks and full stock-taking activities as required.
