Job description
Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer with 4–8 years of experience in developing cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Distributed Systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with transactional databases, cloud platforms (Azure and/or GCP), event-driven architectures, and NoSQL databases.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable microservices and applications.
- Build REST APIs and event-driven solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in system design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Ensure application reliability, security, and scalability in cloud environments.
- Contribute to CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile development processes.
Requirements
Required Skills
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
- Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other transactional databases.
- Hands-on experience with Azure and/or GCP cloud platforms.
- Experience with event streaming/messaging technologies such as Kafka, Azure Event Hub, RabbitMQ, or Google Pub/Sub.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or Cosmos DB.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
