Job Title: HR Manager Location: Bangalore Organization: Harvest International School Role Overview The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the school. This role is key to supporting a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with educational and labour regulations, and aligning HR strategies with the institution’s academic vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Staffing Manage end-to-end recruitment for teaching and non-teaching staff Coordinate with academic heads for staffing requirements Conduct interviews, reference checks, and onboarding processes
- Employee Lifecycle Management Oversee onboarding, confirmation, and exit formalities Maintain employee records and HR documentation Implement induction programs for new hires
- Performance Management Design and manage appraisal systems for faculty and staff Support performance reviews and professional development plans Work with leadership to identify training needs
- Employee Relations Act as a bridge between management and staff Address grievances and resolve workplace conflicts Promote a positive and inclusive work culture
- Compliance & Policies Ensure compliance with labour laws and school regulations Develop, update, and implement HR policies Maintain statutory records and handle audits
- Payroll & Benefits Administration Coordinate payroll processing and attendance management Administer employee benefits and leave management systems
- Training & Development Organize training sessions, workshops, and staff development programs Facilitate continuous learning aligned with CBSE or other board requirements Qualifications & Experience Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 5–10 years of HR experience, preferably in an educational institution Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices Experience in school HR systems is an advantage Key Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and leadership abilities Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Proficiency in HR software and MS Office High level of confidentiality and integrity Preferred Attributes Experience working in a school or academic institution Understanding of education board norms (CBSE/IGCSE/IB) Ability to work in a dynamic, student-centered environment
