An Industrial Engineering (IE) Manager oversees the engineering and technical design of industrial engineering projects, focusing on optimizing complex processes and systems to minimize waste and improve efficiency. Here are some key responsibilities and qualifications for this role:
Key Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Lead efforts to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Project Management: Oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of industrial engineers, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Data Analysis: Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Cost Management: Develop and implement cost-saving measures and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all processes comply with quality standards and regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as production, supply chain, and quality assurance, to implement improvements and solve problems.

- Educational Background: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field; a master’s degree can be advantageous.
- Experience: Over 10 years of experience in industrial engineering, with a proven track record in a managerial role.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
- Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale projects.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with industrial engineering software and tools.
- Language: TOEIC 650+ is must. Thai is preferrable.
