Overview

The Senior Business Systems Analyst works with business stakeholders, operational leaders, technical teams, and vendors to identify business needs and deliver practical system solutions. This role independently leads multiple small- to medium-sized integrations, system enhancements, and workflow changes from intake through requirements, design, testing, implementation, and post-launch support.

The position is responsible for eliciting and documenting requirements, analyzing workflows, supporting solution design, and coordinating delivery across business and technical teams. The role also partners with project leads and senior analysts on complex, large-scale enterprise initiatives. Independently leads multiple small- to medium-sized integrations, system enhancements, and workflow changes from intake through implementation and post-launch stabilization. Partners with project leads and senior analysts on complex, large-scale enterprise initiatives. Plans and facilitates requirements elicitation activities, including stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, workshops, workflow reviews, and requirements validation sessions.

Develops business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, process maps, integration requirements, test scenarios, and supporting project documentation. Gathers requirements from cross-functional stakeholders, including business leadership, operations, clinical teams, compliance, information technology, vendors, developers, QA analysts, and end users.

Analyzes current-state processes, identifies gaps and risks, and recommends future-state workflows and system improvements. Evaluates the downstream impact of proposed changes across applications, integrations, users, vendors, reports, and business processes. Collaborates with technical teams and vendors during solution design to ensure alignment with approved requirements.

Participates in backlog refinement, daily standups, design reviews, testing activities, and implementation planning. Tracks risks, issues, decisions, dependencies, and progress, and communicates concerns to management and project leadership. Shares templates, methods, and effective practices, including AI-enabled approaches, with peer analysts.

Leverages approved AI-enabled tools and automation opportunities to enhance requirements analysis, documentation quality, and the delivery of VNS Health’s clinical, operational, and enterprise system enhancements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Business, Health Informatics, or a related field required. Equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered. Work Experience: Minimum five years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.

Experience independently leading multiple small- to medium-sized integrations, enhancements, or workflow changes through the software development lifecycle. Experience developing business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, process maps, and test documentation. Experience working within Agile, hybrid, or other structured delivery methodologies, including backlog refinement, daily standups, testing, implementation, and post-launch support.

Required Skills

Effective oral and written communication, facilitation, consulting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft 365 applications. Experience using generative AI solutions such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Anthropic Claude, or similar technologies to support business analysis or product delivery.

Ability to function autonomously, and collaborate with senior level leaders across the agency.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare or home care. Experience with HHAe. Xchange, Homecare Homebase, Netsmart, or HCBS EHRs. Experience implementing API integrations, vendor interfaces, or data exchanges. Required for All Jobs Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

USD $93,400.00

  • USD $116,800.00 /Yr.
