Water Treatment Plant Operator

Ellasot Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a reputable Water company seeking a competent, detail-oriented Water Treatment Plant Operator to join its operations team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the water treatment and water production process to ensure the consistent production of safe, high-quality drinking water.

The role includes operating water treatment equipment, running the water filling and sealing machine, bagging finished water, and maintaining cleanliness and compliance with quality and safety standards. The Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor the water treatment system, including filtration, purification, and disinfection processes.

Operate the water filling, sealing, and packaging machine to ensure efficient production. Inspect production equipment before, during, and after operation to ensure proper functionality. Bag, count, and stack finished water products for storage and distribution. Monitor water quality and production parameters, reporting any deviations or equipment malfunctions promptly Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, work areas, and storage facilities.

Conduct basic preventive maintenance and assist with minor equipment repairs as required. Maintain accurate production, quality control, and maintenance records. Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and health and safety standards. Minimize production waste and handle raw materials efficiently.

Assist with loading and unloading production materials and finished goods when required. Perform other production-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Food Science and Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 2–5 years' experience in water treatment or bottled water production is an advantage.

Knowledge of water treatment processes, quality control standards, and good manufacturing practices (GMP). Ability to operate and monitor water treatment and water production equipment. Basic mechanical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality products.

Good record-keeping, communication, and teamwork skills. Physically fit and able to work in a production environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
