Vehicle Damage Assessor Job Title: Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) Location: Stoke-on-Trent Salary: £31,000 - £40,000 OTE (DOE) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Start Date: Immediate About the Role We are looking for an experienced and detail-focused Vehicle Damage Assessor to join the Bodyshop team at Holdcroft Motor Group in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled assessor who can accurately inspect vehicle damage, prepare repair estimates, and liaise effectively with customers, insurers, and repair teams. You'll play a vital role in ensuring repairs are cost-effective, accurately documented, and completed to the highest standards.

Your Role

Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair requirements Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-recognised estimating systems Identify repair methods in line with manufacturer guidelines Liaise with insurance companies, engineers and customers throughout the repair process Produce detailed repair specifications and job packs for workshop teams Monitor repairs and authorise any additional work required Ensure all estimates and repair costs are accurately recorded and controlled Support the Bodyshop team in achieving efficiency and profitability targets Maintain excellent customer communication and service throughout the repair journey Ensure compliance with health, safety and manufacturer standards What We Offer Competitive OTE of £31,000 - £40,000 depending on experience Bonus scheme with excellent earning potential Monday to Friday working hours – no weekend rota 31 days holiday Colleague referral bonus scheme (up to £1,000 ) Manufacturer training and ongoing development opportunities Career progression within Holdcroft Motor Group Employee Assistance Programme About You Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor , Estimator, or Bodyshop Advisor Experience using estimating systems such as Audatex or similar platforms Strong understanding of vehicle repair methods and Bodyshop processes Excellent knowledge of accident repair procedures and insurance requirements Ability to identify repair methods and accurately cost repairs Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple repairs simultaneously ATA Vehicle Damage Assessor Accreditation (desirable but not essential) Full UK Driving Licence About Holdcroft Holdcroft Motor Group is one of the UK's leading automotive retailers, committed to delivering exceptional customer service and investing in the development of our people.
