Ready to modernize medicine with us? Job Description Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team and work on Mod. Med's Integrations and Interoperability Healthcare offerings. This role provides an excellent opportunity to lead the development and delivery of reliable, performant, and scalable integration services, and evolve Modmed's API Ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software systems in the area of ownership and ensure that they meet business objectives. Ensure deliverables meet the functional and non-functional criteria, and drive changes proactively where outcomes are misaligned. Align development efforts with business objectives by collaborating closely with senior engineers and cross-functional team members across geos.
Identify and implement best practices for efficient operational processes or technical solutions that elevate the team's performance Promote a culture of continuous improvement by guiding other engineers through design, code, and operational reviews. Providing coaching and mentoring to junior engineers. Skills & Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
8+ years of software development experience, preferably in a technical leadership role. Exceptional programming skills, encompassing Java, Spring Boot, SQL, RESTful services. Experience with public cloud services, preferably AWS. Full stack (backend, frontend, operations) experience is a plus. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across functional lines, and cross geo teams.
Healthcare Interoperability experience (HL7, FHIR) is advantageous. Mod. Med Benefits Highlight: At Mod.
