Job description
The person in this position assists with managing employees in the maintenance of the locomotive or railcar fleet. He or she ensures that all G&W safety rules and practices for Mechanical Department employees are followed explicitly. This person manages the maintenance and repair of locomotives and railcars so that they meet FRA standards, while reducing life-cycle costs and increasing reliability and availability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure and audit compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety and operations, per AAR and FRA regulations Maintain employee safety records regarding scheduled safety-rule presentations, job briefings, and safety films; prepare schedules for these
