ACG_3726_JOB Our client is a leading global construction firm that is looking for a qualified candidate to join their team. Take overall responsibility and accountability for multiple teams or an entire engineering discipline. Manage projects directly when required, depending on their size and complexity. Assign projects to Lead Engineers and continuously monitor project progress through the review of submitted progress reports.
Provide technical expertise, guidance, consultative support, and technical training to teams within the same discipline and across other disciplines. Ensure all operations are carried out in accordance with applicable local Quality Assurance procedures. Continuously monitor and report on project progress, resource allocation, and financial performance.
Support the Group Leader in managing the financial aspects of structural projects by allocating resources within approved budgets and established fee scales. Support business development activities and contribute to generating new and repeat business opportunities. Promote and contribute to best practices within the discipline through active participation in professional skills networks.
Coordinate closely with Project Managers, relevant Skills Networks, and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors.
Requirements
Licensed Grade 1 Structural Engineer. Postgraduate qualifications are considered an advantage. 12+ years of experience in a similar role, with extensive expertise in the design of high-rise buildings and industrial facilities, as well as the management of multidisciplinary projects. Extensive knowledge of structural analysis and seismic design software, including ETABS, SAFE, and SAP.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, together with effective time and stress management skills. Excellent teamwork and stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to coordinate effectively with external parties.
