Skilled MET Technician Job Title: MET Technician Location: Stoke-on-Trent Salary: OTE £30,000 - £40,000 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Start Date: Immediate About the Role We are looking for an experienced and skilled MET (Mechanical, Electrical & Trim) Technician to join the Bodyshop team at Holdcroft Motor Group in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality vehicle repairs and enjoys working in a modern, fast-paced workshop. You'll play a key role in returning vehicles to pre-accident condition by carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim repairs safely, efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
Your Role
Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components on a wide range of vehicles Diagnose faults relating to electrical and mechanical systems following accident damage Carry out repairs in line with manufacturer methods and safety standards Work closely with Panel Beaters and Paint Technicians to ensure smooth repair processes Replace damaged vehicle components, including bumpers, lighting, suspension and interior trim Carry out vehicle inspections before and after repairs Ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards Maintain detailed job records and complete repair documentation Follow all health and safety procedures within the workshop Contribute to achieving workshop productivity and customer satisfaction targets What We Offer Competitive OTE of £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience Bonus scheme with excellent earning potential Monday to Friday working hours – no weekend rota 31 days holiday Colleague referral bonus scheme (up to £1,000 ) Manufacturer training and ongoing development opportunities Career progression within Holdcroft Motor Group Employee Assistance Programme Free flu jab Modern workshop with the latest equipment and technology About You Previous experience as an MET Technician within a bodyshop or accident repair centre Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim repairs Experience removing and refitting vehicle components to manufacturer standards Confident working with vehicle electrical systems, airbags and safety components Ability to interpret manufacturer repair methods and technical information Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship Able to work independently and as part of a busy workshop team Strong organisational and time management skills ATA Accreditation (desirable but not essential) Full UK Driving Licence About Holdcroft Holdcroft Motor Group is one of the UK's leading automotive retailers, committed to delivering exceptional customer service and investing in the development of our people.
