Job description

We have an urgent hiring requirement for Senior US Accountant (US Accounting Domain): Position: Senior US Accountant (US Accounting Domain) Location: Ahmadabad Shift Time: 5pm to 2am About the Role: We are seeking Senior US Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on experience in performing various accounting functions for a US division, with a strong understanding of US GAAP, complex financial transactions, and reporting tools.

As a Bookkeeper, you will handle accounting operations such as A/R, A/P, bank and credit card reconciliations, payroll processing, journal entries, and managing balance sheet postings, including equity swaps and SAFE agreements.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping s Accounting Manage weekly Accounts Payable using BILL, including bill processing and payment execution Record and review weekly credit card transactions Maintain accurate general ledger records in compliance with US GAAP Ensure timely posting of all accounting transactions Accounts Receivable s Sales Support Record customer receipts, deposits, and adjustments Sync and record e-commerce sales data Manage and reconcile merchant services such as Stripe and similar platforms Guide team members on invoicing best practices through weekly internal training sessions.

Payroll Support Process and review bi-weekly payroll Verify payroll mappings and ensure accurate payroll journal entries Record employee and employer retirement contributions Reconcile payroll liabilities and resolve discrepancies in coordination with payroll providers Reconciliations s Month-End Close Perform and review monthly bank, credit card, and investment account reconciliations Record accrual and deferral journal entries Track fixed assets and associated loan schedules Support month-end and year-end close activities Tax s Compliance Support Prepare and review monthly US sales tax filings (DC, VA, MD or other jurisdictions as applicable) Prepare and file annual 10GGs using Tax1099 or similar tools Prepare reports and schedules for annual workers’ compensation audits Ensure compliance with client requirements and statutory guidelines Grant s Class Tracking Manage class and grant accounting for municipal or nonprofit grants Ensure proper allocation and reporting of grant-related transactions Requirements Qualifications & Experience: Educational Background: CA Inter (Intermediate) or master’s degree with relevant experience.

Team Leadership s Client Management Lead, mentor, and review work of junior accountants and bookkeepers Act as a key point of contact for US clients Conduct weekly bookkeeping and review meetings Ensure adherence to Safebooks’ quality standards and SLAs Support process documentation, transitions, and continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills s Qualifications 4+ years of experience in US Accounting / Bookkeeping Strong understanding of US GAAP Proficiency in QuickBooks Online Hands-on experience with: BILL.

com Payroll tools (Gusto, ADP, or similar) Tax1099 Stripe / merchant platforms Prior experience working in a US outsourcing environment Strong communication and client-handling skills Experience in reviewing work and managing a small team Preferred Qualifications Experience working with US CPA firms Exposure to multiple US entities Experience with nonprofit or grant accounting Process improvement or team transition experience Benefits Other Requirements: Immediate Joiner preferred.
