Commercial Lines Account Manager Assistant – Property & Casualty Location: Hybrid | Local to Syracuse, New York At Alera Group, our Property & Casualty team helps businesses protect their assets, manage risk, and plan confidently for the future. We’re seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager Assistant who will support risk strategy, client service excellence, and operational accuracy.

Why Alera Group Meaningful Impact: Help clients and employees navigate benefits programs that drive retention, engagement, and satisfaction Growth & Learning: Opportunities to deepen your expertise and gain exposure to a variety of clients and industries Collaborative Culture: Work in a team-oriented environment that values accountability, partnership, and the principles of The Collaborative Way RESPONSIBILITIES What You’ll Do / Your Impact Client Partnership & Risk Strategy Support client service activities necessary to meet client needs while providing exceptional and distinctive service Assist with new business and renewal processes, including support for assigned program business Act as a liaison with account managers and carrier partners to support client service objectives Help ensure client requests, service needs, and follow-up items are handled accurately and in a timely manner Support strong client and carrier relationships through responsive communication and reliable service Operational Excellence Maintain current knowledge and efficient use of client management systems to support accurate documentation and workflow compliance Manage correspondence in a timely manner, including email and client document management system activity Support use of carrier websites for rating, billing, endorsements, retrieval of loss runs, and related service needs Maintain accurate documentation and support orderly account records Use CSR24 and other client service tools accurately to support service delivery Demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through in daily responsibilities Strategic Contribution Seize training opportunities to further personal and professional development Support team success by building strong relationships and sharing knowledge, resources, and useful techniques Contribute to a collaborative team environment through communication, teamwork, and accountability Help identify opportunities to improve service processes, client responsiveness, and operational consistency QUALIFICATIONS What You Bring Required 1–2 years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance New York State Property & Casualty license Experience supporting client service, account management, or insurance service activities Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills Ability to shift focus and manage workload to meet time-sensitive deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Office products Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal teams and carrier partners Preferred Bachelor’s degree Experience with client management systems and document management systems Experience using carrier websites for rating, billing, endorsements, and loss run retrieval Experience with CSR24 or similar client service tools Strong presentation skills Demonstrated interest in continued training and professional development Core Competencies Culture Communication Collaboration and teamwork Planning and organizing Decision making and problem solving Detail orientation Accountability and follow-through Client-first thinking Relationship building Professionalism ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Compensation: Hourly range: $25.
