Designation: ESG Manager Domain: ESG Qualification: BEE Certified, Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification recognized by BEE. Years of experience: 3-4 Years experience Location: Wanowarie, Pune Employment Type: Full-time Reports To: Partner About the Role: We are looking for a certified Energy Manager to lead energy conservation and efficiency initiatives across our clients.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring energy consumption, identifying savings opportunities, ensuring statutory compliance under the Energy Conservation Act, and driving sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular energy audits (internal) to identify areas of energy wastage and efficiency improvement. Monitor and analyse plant/facility energy consumption data (electricity, fuel, steam, compressed air, etc.) and prepare periodic MIS reports. Prepare and submit statutory returns/filings as required under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 (e.

g., Form 1, annual energy consumption reports to State Designated Agency/BEE). Identify, evaluate, and implement energy-saving projects; calculate ROI/payback for proposed measures. Benchmark energy performance against industry standards and set specific energy consumption (SEC) targets. Coordinate with accredited energy auditors for mandatory energy audits (for designated consumers, as applicable).

Track and report on energy performance indicators, carbon footprint, and support ESG/sustainability reporting. Recommend and support implementation of renewable energy, waste heat recovery, and energy-efficient equipment/technology. Train and create awareness among staff/operations teams on energy conservation. practices.

Liaise with State Designated Agencies (SDA), BEE, and other regulatory bodies as required. Support ISO 50001 (Energy Management System) implementation and maintenance, if applicable Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent qualification recognized by BEE). Successfully qualified the BEE Certified Energy Manager Examination conducted by the National Productivity Council (NPC) on behalf of BEE.

Possesses a valid BEE Certified Energy Manager Certificate and Registration Number. Competent in energy management, energy efficiency, energy auditing, energy performance assessment, and compliance under the Energy Conservation Act and BEE regulations. Eligible to be designated as the Energy Manager for Designated Consumers (DCs) under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001 (as amended Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of the Energy Conservation Act and related compliance requirements.

Familiarity with energy monitoring tools/software and basic data analysis (Excel/MS Office; SCADA/BMS exposure is a plus). Understanding of ISO 50001 Energy Management Systems. Good analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
