Chef de Partie (2-Year Fixed-Term Contract) | Luxury Private Island Resort | Madagascar Salary: USD 1,200 – USD 1,500 gross per month, depending on experience Live-in Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Partie for a world-class luxury private island resort in Madagascar. This exciting 2-year fixed-term contract is ideal for a dedicated culinary professional with luxury hospitality experience who is passionate about exceptional cuisine, sustainability and creating unforgettable guest dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee a designated kitchen section, ensuring smooth daily operations. Work closely with the Sous Chef and Junior Sous Chef to deliver exceptional culinary standards. Prepare and present high-quality dishes with consistency and attention to detail. Ensure guest preferences and special dietary requirements are executed accurately.
Participate in bespoke guest experiences, including cooking demonstrations and interactive culinary events. Maintain the highest food quality, presentation and consistency across all dining venues. Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and support inventory management. Promote sustainable kitchen practices and the use of local ingredients where possible.
Train, mentor and support junior kitchen team members. Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards. Assist across various kitchen outlets and shifts as operationally required.
Requirements
Relevant culinary qualification from a recognised institution. Advanced Food Safety and Hygiene certification. Minimum of 2–4 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a luxury hotel, resort or 5-star establishment. Strong culinary skills across multiple kitchen sections. Experience producing high-quality fine dining cuisine.
Knowledge of sustainable sourcing and waste reduction practices. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to presentation standards. Confident mentoring and training junior kitchen staff. Comfortable interacting with guests during special dining experiences. Positive attitude with the ability to perform under pressure in a luxury hospitality environment.
