Job description
Supports the licensed nurses by assuming responsibility for direct and indirect patient care, such as assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, comfort measures, and maintenance of a safe and clean environment, in an effort to provide optimum patient outcome and efficiencies to flow. Collects patient data such as vital signs, weights, I & O, and point of care fingerstick blood glucose then identifies and reports significant findings to the licensed nurse.
Documents findings and care within established timeframes. Assists patients with calling for transportation as needed; monitors the overall appearance of the lobbies and entrances; assists and directs patients regarding the registration process and Hospital procedures.
