Job description
This position is responsible for the planning of menus, order/purchases food and kitchen supplies, prepares breakfast, lunch, and snack for the children at the Learning Center under the regulation the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). This position is responsible for daily documentation of meal preparations, quantities served, times and temperatures.
The cook is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen. This position is responsible for assisting with daily laundry including washing, drying, folding, and putting away facility laundry. This is a non-exempt position and reports to the Head Start Manager. Continuation of this position is contingent upon funding allocation.
