Job description
Summary: This role is critical to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of warehouse operations. The individual will be responsible for managing the flow of merchandise by accurately tracking inventory movements, ensuring proper documentation of all incoming and outgoing goods, and upholding strict standards for safety, organization, and compliance.
By identifying discrepancies promptly and supporting inventory accuracy through FIFO practices and regular audits, the role contributes directly to operational excellence and supply chain reliability.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of merchandise entering and exiting the warehouse.
- Receive and document all incoming shipments and returns with precision.
- Identify and report missing, lost, or damaged materials to the supervisor immediately.
- Ensure all items are securely packed, properly labelled, and handled with care during storage and shipping.
- Support the organization of warehouse space in alignment with established SOPs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional warehouse environment at all times.
- Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) principles when storing and retrieving stock.
- Assist in the preparation of management reports on a regular basis.
- Participate in periodic spot checks and full stock-taking activities.
