The Trainee role is a full-time 24-month contract with Societe Generale where you will have access to a diverse range of training materials to help you succeed, covering various aspects of businesses, including but not limited to technical skills, leadership development, communication skills, client service and relationship management. To be eligible, please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of Trainee contract.

Based in Hong Kong, this trainee will support strategic communications and media initiatives across Asia Pacific, working closely with senior leaders from Global Markets, Financing & Advisory, and Transaction Banking businesses. The role reports to the Head of Business & Managerial Communications for Asia Pacific and collaborates regularly with the regional APAC communications teams and our French headquarters.

This position offers exposure to senior stakeholders, regional campaigns, and high-impact communications projects – a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in corporate communications within financial services.

Primary Responsibilities

Planning

  • Support 360° communications campaigns, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external consultancies for seamless execution.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of strategic communications plans that highlight business expertise.
  • Collaborate with regional, local and global teams to align on messaging and participate in brainstorms and strategy sessions.

Content development

  • Assist in creating and amplifying business content, including drafting social media posts and articles for internal and external audiences.
  • Conduct desktop research and leverage in-house resources to develop insights for communications initiatives.
  • Provide activity reporting, performance analysis and general administrative support as needed.

Media relations

  • Monitor media coverage and market developments to deliver timely intelligence for business communications.
  • Support and coordinate awards-related activities to strengthen brand recognition.
  • Maintain and update media-related records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for regional teams.
