Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and gene therapy, is looking for an “Transfer Specialist
- Reagent Manufacturing Operations” based in Tucson, AZ. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate : $32/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Sick leave, 401K Seeking a Transfer Specialist to support the transfer of new tissue diagnostic assays, reagents, and bulk materials from R&D into commercial manufacturing. This role focuses on cross-functional project coordination, technical transfer, GMP compliance, and continuous process improvement. This is not a laboratory role, but a Life Sciences background is required to effectively collaborate with technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate product and process transfers from R&D to Manufacturing, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met. Collaborate with Operations, Development, Regulatory, Validation, and Project teams to support successful product launches. Track project milestones, manage documentation, and support process validation activities.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, quality systems, and regulatory requirements. Support audit readiness, NCR investigations, and corrective actions. Apply Lean principles and basic problem-solving tools to improve manufacturing processes. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and standardized procedures. Manage multiple project deliverables while communicating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physiology, or related field). 1+ year of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated industries. Experience coordinating projects or deliverables across multiple stakeholder groups.
Working knowledge of cGMP/GMP environments and SOP compliance. Strong communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
