Java Consultant — Brussels A leading professional services firm is looking for a Java Technical Analyst to combine hands-on development with technical leadership on a legacy modernisation programme.

What you'll do

Lead Java modernisation initiatives, including JBoss/Wild. Fly upgrades, Spring Boot migrations (Spring 5→6, javax→jakarta), and Rich. Faces to Prime. Faces transitions Architect scalable, secure Java solutions and define technical standards for the delivery team Manage and mentor nearshore/offshore Java developers; conduct code reviews and establish quality gates Oversee CI/CD pipeline integration and coordinate integration of code produced by delivery centres Note: this is legacy migration work, not greenfield development What you'll bring: 4+ years of professional Java development experience Proven experience managing distributed (nearshore/offshore) development teams Strong command of Spring ecosystem, JPA/Hibernate, and JBoss/Wild.

Fly Hands-on experience with javax→jakarta namespace migrations and Open. Rewrite or similar tooling Experience in the banking sector is an asset Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus); ability to read code commented in NL/FR BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent Location: Belgium (hybrid) Contract type: Full-time
