On behalf of our client, a leading group of companies in Libya, specializes in Fashion Retail, F&B, Healthcare, Automobiles, Construction, Electromechanical, and Alternative Energy. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented (Chief Accountant) to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial policies. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes. Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. Implement and improve internal controls and financial procedures.
Lead and mentor the accounting team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is preferred. Proven experience of 5 years minimum in a senior accounting role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Language Requirements: Arabic: Native level. English: Advanced level. Additional Information: Working hours: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Working days: Sat – Thu.
