We currently have an opportunity for a Machine Operator at our Carrington, ND durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.
Responsibilities
Operate packaging equipment according to product specifications and ensur e accuracy in weights and codes Maintain proper documentation of downtime and repairs. Perform minor repairs and routine maintenance work on equipment Continually check the quality of the product, packaging, and case printing according to standard operating procedures and policies , and report any issues Maintains cleanliness of equipment at all times P roactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities Qualifications: A ble to work weekends, holidays and overtime Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution E xperience operating machines Experience in a food manufacturing facility Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: Crouch, stoop, kneel, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods Work in dusty, high heat/humidity environments and confined spaces Make fine distinctions by sound Communicate verbally and in writing, and distinguish objects or equipment visually Shift: 5:30am-4pm or 4pm-2:30am Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday Starting pay: $20/hr
