Job Description: As a Decorator Mechanic, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of decorating equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality production of beverage cans. Responsibilities:** * Set up, adjust, and operate decorating machines, including ink systems, varnish application, and curing ovens, to meet production specifications.

Monitor decorator performance, identifying and rectifying issues such as misprints, registration problems, and quality defects. * Perform routine preventative maintenance on decorator equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and replacement of worn parts. * Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems on decorating machinery.

Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure product consistency and adherence to quality standards. * Conduct quality checks on decorated cans, utilizing measuring tools and visual inspection techniques. * Maintain accurate production records, maintenance logs, and inventory of spare parts. * Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Assist in training new operators and mechanics on decorator operations and maintenance. * Propose and implement improvements to decorating processes and equipment for enhanced efficiency and quality. Qualifications:** * High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or a technical degree in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience as a mechanic or operator in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in printing, decorating, or packaging machinery. * Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. * Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. * Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Basic understanding of electrical systems and controls is a plus. * Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
