Technical Lead – Cybersecurity Lake Forest, CA (Onsite) Job Description
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 5+ years in software engineering, DevOps, or information security roles.
- 2+ years in a leadership, technical lead, or project coordination role.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts, standards, and practices
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Experience with secure development practices, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.
- Ability to review technical designs and propose improvements from a security perspective.
- Management & Soft Skills:
- Proven track record of coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Strong project management skills (Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make balanced decisions under pressure.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills. Preferred to Have:
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, AWS Security Specialty).
- Any previous experience in automotive cybersecurity or regulated industries.
- Knowledge of any compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, automotive-specific security standards).
- Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, SAST/DAST, penetration testing).

Job Responsibilities
- Act as the primary coordinator for all activities related to the cybersecurity direction.
- Collaborate with multiple engineering, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely delivery of cybersecurity-related tasks.
- Translate project requirements into clear technical tasks and ensure proper prioritization.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers, ensuring cybersecurity best practices are followed.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues.
- Communicate status, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders and management.
- Support planning, estimation, and resource allocation for cybersecurity projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security frameworks.
- Serve as a bridge between technical teams and project/product management.
