Quantity Surveyor- Duqm Factory Project

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team for a factory construction project in Duqm, Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all commercial and cost-related aspects of the project, including quantity take-offs, cost control, subcontract administration, progress valuations, and contract management.
The role requires close coordination with the project management, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure the project is delivered within budget and in accordance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications. Develop and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQ). Monitor project costs, budgets, commitments, and cash flow. Prepare monthly valuations, payment applications, and commercial reports. Review and certify subcontractor invoices and progress claims. Evaluate quotations and support procurement activities.
Manage variation orders, change requests, and contractual claims. Maintain project cost control systems and forecasting reports. Track productivity and material consumption against budget. Assist the Project Manager with commercial and contractual matters. Administer subcontract agreements and ensure compliance with contract terms.
Participate in negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors. Support project planning by providing financial analysis and cost forecasts. Ensure compliance with company policies and project procedures Requirements Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial, factory, infrastructure, or heavy civil construction projects. Experience in Oman or GCC countries is preferred. Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost control, and contract administration. Experience with FIDIC contracts is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial management software.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Fluent in English.
