The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions, with increased responsibility for financial reporting, project accounting, and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare all necessary financial reports, journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations accurately and on a timely basis Daily cash management reports and bank reconciliations Post adjusting journal entries at month-end Preparation of monthly account and bank reconciliations Cash Management: Deposit cash and scan backup Daily cash management and bank reconciliations Additional: Support staff on special projects as needed Provide assistance with interim and year-end audits BS/BA degree in Accounting/Finance 3-8 years of experience in accounting of similar for a major company or division of a large corporation Experience in an Architecture/Engineering or Professional Service Company is a plus Have an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Strong computer skills, proficiency with Excel and Word Good written and oral communication skills Detail-oriented and highly motivated, self-starter Superior organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills Prior experience with Deltek Vantage.
