
Systems Development Engineer (with M365 and Azure experience), IT Enterprise Engineering
Job description
Join a team responsible for building and operating large-scale collaboration platforms used by thousands of employees globally. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of document management, live collaboration, and productivity tooling across the business. This role is ideal for an engineer with strong Microsoft 365 expertise (SharePoint Online, OneDrive) who enjoys combining platform engineering, automation, and cloud technologies to solve complex problems at scale.
Key job responsibilities
Design, build, and operate enterprise-scale M365 collaboration platforms, with a focus on SharePoint Online and OneDrive Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of document storage and collaboration services Automate workflows and platform management using Power. Shell and scripting tools Partner with engineering teams to integrate M365 services with broader cloud infrastructure Contribute to system design and architecture decisions, ensuring high availability and security Support migration, modernization, and governance initiatives across collaboration tools Work in an Agile / DevOps environment, owning services end-to-end A day in the life Work on high-impact systems used at global scale Influence the future of enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms Join a team that values ownership, automation, and engineering excellence Opportunity to expand into cloud engineering and distributed systems
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, Power. Shell, Ruby - 5+ years of M365 and Azure experience, with specific focus on SharePoint Online and OneDrive
- Experience with Power. Shell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
- Experience building services using AWS products
