Summary Job Description: Scheduling Coordinator – Vascular Surgery Baptist Health Medical Group St. Matthews Area | Full-Time | First Shift Make a Difference Every Day Are you an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys helping patients navigate their healthcare journey? Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join our busy Vascular Surgery practice.
In this essential role, you’ll serve as a key point of contact for patients and collaborate with multiple healthcare teams to ensure seamless scheduling and exceptional patient care. As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will: Schedule patient appointments, procedures, testing, and surgeries both in person and over the phone. Coordinate surgical procedures with physicians, hospitals, and specialty providers, including combined cases with Plastic Surgery. Work collaboratively with departments such as Nurse Navigation, Genetics, Oncology, Surgery Scheduling, Plastic Surgery, and Radiology.
Ensure patient medical records are updated accurately and promptly. Communicate scheduling details clearly with patients, providers, and healthcare teams. Scan and upload patient records into OnBase. Obtain insurance authorizations for procedures and services. Perform additional administrative and clerical duties to support the practice.
What We’re Looking For Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. One to three years of clerical experience in a physician office or healthcare setting. Experience with medical office software and scheduling applications. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
