As Vice President of Operations, you’ll provide senior-level leadership and full accountability for the operational, financial, and cultural performance of our spa businesses across Hawaii and California, working directly with teams to build a service culture grounded in results, enthusiasm, accountability, connection, and honesty.
What You Will Do
Grow and scale our client's membership-based franchise business in the Sacramento market: marketing, sales, retention, pricing strategy, and member experience Own full profit and loss performance across the California franchise division and the Hawaii resort spa division Lead daily operations, financial results, and team culture with regular on-site presence and frequent travel between markets Recruit, coach, and mentor site leaders, building bench strength and succession depth across both divisions Build and refine SOPs and training programs that hold up consistently across multiple locations and two different business models Build revenue through marketing, service offerings, membership growth, and standout guest and team experiences Requirements What We Need (MUST HAVE) Proven experience operating and growing a membership-based business model (franchise or membership-driven service business) — this is a membership-growth role first, not a general resort or hotel management role 7+ years of multi-unit operations leadership experience Demonstrated success owning full profit and loss responsibility, including true bottom-line cost management (labor, inventory, facilities, benefits allocation) Ability and willingness to travel frequently between Hawaii and California Comfort operating two distinct business models at once: membership/franchise as the primary focus, resort/hospitality spa as a secondary responsibility Ability and willingness to travel frequently between Hawaii and California NICE TO HAVE Experience in resort or hotel spa operations specifically (a plus, not required) Broader wellness, fitness, or hospitality industry background A people-first leadership style, comfortable with direct feedback and hands-on coaching Experience building or scaling operations ahead of a company's growth curve Benefits Schedule & Compensation This is a field-based role requiring regular on-site presence and frequent travel between Hawaii and California.
Compensation
is $130,000 to $150,000 base salary plus a performance incentive of up to $30,000, for a total target package of $180,000, with no cap on upside for strong performance. Healthcare and 401k benefits are included, varying by location, along with paid time off starting at 10 days and increasing over time.
