Job description
Primary Purpose of the Job The Senior Project Engineer – Pipelines will provide complete project management services for a mega project assigned to him. He will also manage engineering, design, construction and commissioning of complex pipeline systems and brownfield modifications. This role involves managing the challenges of upgrading or modifying existing facilities while ensuring the successful integration of new pipeline systems.
The candidate will ensure delivery with the scope, schedule and budget in a safe manner and in accordance with project requirements, specifications and standards. The position will provide technical expertise, manage stakeholders and oversee multidisciplinary teams to execute pipelines and brownfield projects effectively.
Required Experience and Skills A minimum of twelve (10-12) years relevant experience in engineering, project management and execution of oil & gas projects with at least (5-7) years focused on pipeline & brownfield projects. Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary pipeline & brownfield projects from design through handover.
Experience managing projects independently as the client/owner representative, Familiarity with relevant codes, standards and environmental regulations. Can demonstrate skilled practitioner level in the following competencies: Manage Detailed Design Activities, Manage Construction Activities, Manage Operational Readiness and Assurance Process including Commissioning and Start-up, Handover and Close Out the project, Develop Project Execution Strategies and Plans, Manage Project Interfaces Management of Change (MOC), Manage and Communicate Project Performance, Identify and Manage Project Risks, Understand and Manage the Schedule and Resource the Plan, Manage Contracts including Changes and Variations, Manage Procurement of Long Lead Items, Manage Contractor Claims and Resolution, Identify and manage HSE risk Effective communication and team building skills including presentation, report writing and management of meetings Educational Qualifications B.
Sc. Degree in an Engineering discipline from any recognized University; higher degree would be advantageous. Membership in a recognized professional engineering and/or project management association/institution would be an advantage. B.Sc.
