
Resident Engineer-Dams & Grouting (International Expert)
Job description
Bachelor’s in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural Engineering Master’s in Geotechnical or Hydraulic Engineering Minimum 15 years’ experience in dam engineering and grouting. Previous experience as Resident Engineer or similar on large dam/hydropower projects. Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ICOLD, FIDIC).
Strong leadership, communication, and reporting skills. Verify that completed work complies with project requirements, including materials, workmanship, and safety. Supervise grouting operations, including contact, consolidation, and curtain grouting, and ensure adherence to grout mix designs and QC testing. Managing daily construction activities, including embankment construction, excavation, and grouting works.
Supervising and advising on appropriate drilling and grouting techniques, including mix design and monitoring grout effectiveness. Understanding foundation bearing capacity, interpreting permeability tests and geological samples, and utilizing instrumentation for dam monitoring. Ensuring the quality of materials and completed works conform to contract specifications, and overseeing geotechnical testing and instrumentation Experience with different types of dams (e.
g., asphalt core dams, concrete dams, earth dams). Proficiency in geotechnical testing (e.g., SPT, CPT, Lugeon tests) and instrumentation installation and analysis.
