Job description
The QHSE Director will lead the development and implementation of the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy across all locations in Saudi Arabia. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the role will oversee quality assurance, employee and environmental safety, regulatory compliance, risk management, emergency preparedness, inspections, and continuous improvement programs.
The Director will also lead strategic QHSE projects and initiatives, manage a growing multi-location team, and ensure that the company’s products, employees, operations, and facilities comply with established quality standards, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the company's overall QHSE strategy in alignment with its corporate objectives. Lead and manage the QHSE function across the head office, factory, branches warehouses, and other operational locations. Develop and implement quality, health, safety, and environmental policies procedures, annual plans, and improvement programs.
Ensure product quality and safety throughout production, storage, distribution, and selling locations. Oversee quality inspections, product sample testing, and assessments across the company's operations. Identify and investigate quality, health, safety, and environmental risks and ensure the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure compliance with applicable local laws, government regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Represent the company before relevant government authorities and regulatory organization concerning QHSE matters. Lead emergency preparedness and response plans for incidents such as fires, injuries, explosions, and environmental emergencies.
Lead strategic QHSE projects, government-related initiatives, and continuous improvement programs. Build, lead, develop, and monitor the performance of the QHSE team across multiple locations. Prepare and manage the annual QHSE budget and monitor departmental performance against approved plans and targets. Prepare periodic management reports and conduct annual QHSE reviews with the CEO and leadership team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Food Science, or another relevant field. 12–15 years of relevant experience in QHSE or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in a strategic management or senior leadership role. Previous experience in the FMCG industry and within a manufacturing-based organization is mandatory.
Strong experience overseeing multiple operational locations, such as factories, branches, warehouses, silos, or distribution facilities. NEBOSH or OSHA certification is mandatory. Relevant ISO certification or auditing experience is preferred. Fluent English communication skills. Proven experience leading QHSE teams and managing substantial resources.
Willingness to conduct field visits to factories, branches, warehouses, and other company locations across Saudi Arabia.
