Boutique & Gallery Senior Sales Assistant Luxury Safari Lodge | Kruger National Park Live-in Position | Salary Negotiable DOE A luxury safari lodge in the Kruger National Park is seeking an experienced Boutique & Gallery Senior Sales Assistant to join their retail team. This role is ideal for a polished, guest-focused retail professional with strong sales experience and a passion for luxury hospitality environments.

The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the boutique and gallery, ensuring a world-class retail experience aligned with high-end luxury standards.

Key Responsibilities

The core function of the Senior Sales Assistant is to support operational management, team supervision, administration, stock control, merchandising, and guest engagement while maintaining a refined luxury retail experience.

• Assist with the smooth daily operation of the boutique and gallery
• Act as operational lead in the absence of the Boutique & Gallery Manager
• Deliver exceptional guest service with a strong focus on sales and guest satisfaction
• Engage confidently with high-end clientele and maximise sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and care of stock, displays, and retail spaces
• Support stock control, inventory management, and administration processes
• Assist with merchandising and styling of the boutique and gallery in line with established standards
• Ensure accurate record keeping and procedural compliance related to retail operations
• Collaborate effectively with lodge departments to ensure seamless guest experience delivery
• Support and communicate the lodge’s conservation values and ethos through guest engagement Skills and Experience
• Previous experience in luxury retail or high-end hospitality environment essential
• Proven sales experience with the ability to confidently engage and sell to affluent guests
• Strong guest relations and communication skills
• Vibrant, dynamic, and well-organised approach to work
• Strong sense of style with an eye for visual merchandising and product presentation
• Passion for luxury hospitality and the safari industry
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude
• Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
• Computer literacy (MS Office required; Sage Pastel advantageous)
• Supervisory or leadership experience beneficial
• Consistent follow-through and strong organisational ability
