Job Description CDM International Inc. (CDM Smith) is a US-based engineering firm that provides engineering services on infrastructure projects throughout the world.
Project Description The primary project supported by this position is the consulting services agreement for planning, design and construction supervision of water and wastewater infrastructure of the Building Water Infrastructure (BWI) project. Primary Purpose of Position Project operations assistant will serve as a support resource to the Project Operations Lead to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the project and the timely delivery and high\quality of project objectives.
This role will work in a multi-disciplinary and cross-cultural work environment, closely coordinating with team members in Jordan and throughout the firm in supporting the design of water and wastewater projects throughout Jordan.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative and operational support to the Project Operations Lead and project technical team. Document Management and Quality Control: Assist in streamlining the project administrative tasks and executing project-specific tasks such as: Reviewing, formatting, and preparing (letters, reports, minutes of meetings) and other project documents for internal and external distribution.
Tracking project deliverables, following up with technical team members, and helping ensure compliance with project deadlines Proofreading documents for English grammatical errors, flow, typos, and formatting inconsistencies before final submission or distribution. Organizing project documents, maintaining records, and ensuring correspondence and deliverables are filed and archived following proper project filing procedures Team Meetings and Events and Logistics Support: Support the Project Operations Lead in organizing team meetings, workshops, trips, stakeholder engagements, and site visits in close coordination with the Administrative or Communications teams as appropriate.
This includes the following: Obtaining necessary information from technical teams, Preparing and distributing invitees’ lists, seating plans, name tags, agendas and other event-related documents and/or folders. Following up on execution of the events by collaborating with the Administrative and Communications teams. Assist the construction project Administrator with construction administration activities upon request.
Provide other general project support duties as assigned by the supervisor. Skills & Abilities Ability to work as a team player. Ability to interact with varying levels of staff, as well as vendors. Good personal computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe or Bluebeam. Good organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.
Good ability to deal with many people and process a large volume of requests.
Qualifications
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business administration, English Language or a related field. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in supporting a dynamic project team. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic, with the ability to communicate with the project team seasonally with diverse audiences.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to prepare, review, and refine professional project documents and correspondence. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Strong time management and proactive problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects.
Strong attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to function successfully in fast-paced, dynamic project environment while remaining flexible, resourceful, and efficient. Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Jordanian citizen or have legal work authorization to work in Jordan.
Amount of Travel Required 10% or less Background Check and Drug Testing Information CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions.
In addition, CDM Smith may conduct drug testing for designated positions. Background checks are conducted after an offer of employment has been made in the United States. The timing of when background checks will be conducted on candidates for positions outside the United States will vary based on country statutory law but in no case, will the background check precede an interview.
CDM Smith will conduct interviews of qualified individuals prior to requesting a criminal background check, and no job application submitted prior to such interview shall inquire into an applicant's criminal history. If this position is subject to a background check for any convictions related to its responsibilities and requirements, employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history.

Additional Pay Range Information CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
