Telephone Operator, Switchboard, Resource Pool, Varied Shifts

Days and shifts vary. Serves as the focal point of all communications in the hospital. A first impression point for many callers that will never visit the facility. Operates the IntelliDesk consoles and related equipment. Routes routine and emergency calls/information to the appropriate department and/or individuals. Covers patient information desk when assigned to do so. Performs any other duties as requested by department director or manager.

Requirements

Customer service skills, computer skills, and high school diploma or equivalent GED. Flexibility is essential as this position will involves an 8-week training that will take place on each shift.
