Job description
The Philadelphia Department of Public Health, through its Bioterrorism & Public Health Preparedness Program (BT-PHP), is the lead administrative and planning agency for public health emergency preparedness and response in Philadelphia. BT-PHP establishes preparedness priorities; develops and tests response plans; coordinates with local, state, and federal partners; and manages the public health response to real events.
The Population Health Coordinator plans for the needs of populations that will experience severe impacts during public health emergencies. This position coordinates emergency response activities, including procurement, distribution, and dispensing of medical countermeasures. The Coordinator works with stakeholders to coordinate plans across the Health Department.
